Watch: Ben Todd's Journey
Ben Todd — Bio
Ben Todd's basketball journey began at just three years old under the guidance of his 6'7" father, a former professional player who competed overseas, after pursuing his own NBA dreams. With firsthand knowledge of the discipline and sacrifice required to play at the highest level, Ben developed an elite work ethic at an early age.
Ben's love of the game quickly fueled his own NBA aspirations. He started playing organized basketball at his local park in Sherman Oaks and soon expanded to multiple park teams and recreational leagues throughout Los Angeles. At just 10 years old, Ben led his team to a championship banner at VNSO Park, playing alongside current Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason.
As his skills developed, Ben transitioned into elite AAU competition, beginning with Kenny Smith's Aim High program before moving on to Baron Davis' Rising Stars. He then played with Ray J's AAU team Knockout where his strong play drew the attention of an Adidas Sponsored AAU Team Compton Magic. He later competed with Steph Curry's Under Armor team Splash City in the Bay Area.
Ben's high-level play attracted interest from top high school programs across Los Angeles, including Sierra Canyon, Bishop Gorman, Harvard-Westlake, and Notre Dame. Known as a point forward, Ben can play every position on the court and has drawn comparisons to Lamar Odom and Chris Bosh — some even say Jokic.
He made an immediate impact, posting 31 points and 19 rebounds in his first high school game and went on to average 22 points and 12 rebounds throughout his high school career. Recognized by AAU coaches and national basketball experts as one of the top players in the country, Ben emerged as a standout prospect.
During this time, he was ranked among peers such as Jalen Green, Evan Mobley, Johnny Juzang, Marvin Bagley, and Jaylen Clark — players who have gone on to play in the NBA.
In 2025, Ben returned to Europe and delivered a standout performance in his last game of the season, scoring 33 points on 13-of-17 shooting with 10 rebounds — signaling a strong future in international professional basketball.
Today, Ben's mission is to pass on everything he has learned through elite programs, high-level competition, and NBA mentorship to the next generation. With two sisters — one currently a Division I coach and the other playing professionally in Europe — Ben comes from a basketball family and knows firsthand what it takes to go far in the game.
